1959 Werner und Madeleine Wartmann-Lieb are the third generation to take responsibility for the business.

1966 Acquisition of the property Rudolfstrasse 13, restructuring to build a hotel with 22 beds.

1967
The legendary »Kutscher-Bar« opens.

1971
Acquisition of the property Rudolfstrasse 15; The Hotel Wartmann with 50 rooms and 70 beds is created.

1976 - 1979
Restructuring and refurbishment of the »Restaurant Wartmann«, »Grill-Stube«, »Wy-Chäller«, garden and theatre hall.

1986
Rolf Wartmann enters the business.

1989
Restructuring of reception and bar (new mirror bar).

1990
New building Hotel Wartmann opens, now counting 72 rooms and 120 beds hosting the vegetarian restaurant »zur Waage«, a grill-restaurant, a bar and 7 halls.

1991
The modern ***City hotel opens offering four-star comfort. New rooms have four-star standard, older rooms have been refurbished.
